Sarah Bertram Places 16th at the World Championships in Goyang, Korea

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - Making her World Championships debut, Sarah Bertram (Eugene, Ore.) placed 16th at the Worlds on Friday in the 69kg division in Goyang, Korea. 

Bertram lifted cleanly on five of her six attempts as she set a new personal best of 89kg in the snatch.  Her mark of 107kg in the clean & jerk was just two kilograms away from her personal best of 109kg which she set at the Rodger DeGarmo Memorial Invitational in Colorado Springs in August.   

Sarah Robles (Colorado Springs, Colo.) will compete for Team USA on Saturday in the +75kg division.

Top-eight results of the women's 69kg division are provided below in the following format: Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total points.  The men's 94kg division also was contested with the results listed below, but the United States did not have an entrant.
