2009 Club Coach Courses
COST - (please refer to the course calendar below to see which courses are currently available)
$340 - includes one year of USA Weightlifting membership, a manual, a video and (once the requirements to become fully certified are achieved) an official USA Weightlifting Club Coach t-shirt.
$460** - includes 3 days room & board at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, one year of USA Weightlifting membership, a manual, a video and (once the requirements to become fully certified are achieved) an official USA Weightlifting Club Coach t-shirt. **INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS (including Canada) - contact the National Office at usaw@usaweightlifting.org or 719-866-4508 for more information regarding the price of courses held at the OTC.
DESCRIPTION
The Club Coach course is aimed at coaches who will be working with competing weightlifters. Materials for this course include a manual, a video and once the requirements to become fully certified are achieved, an official USA Weightlifting Club Coach t-shirt.
In addition to passing the course, all Club Coach candidates must also provide a copy of their current CPR certification card (through an accredited** organization), before receiving final coaching certification:
Annual renewal of USA Weightlifting membership and recertification testing, along with payment of renewal/recertification fee, are required in order to maintain valid USA Weightlifting coaching certification. Coaching certification expires immediately upon expiration of USA Weightlifting membership.
** CPR certificates/cards will be accepted from these accredited organizations: the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the National Safety Council.

The National Office must receive the application by the stated deadline. If received after the deadline, a $35 late fee will apply.
