Registration is now closed for the December 11-13, 2009 American Open in Mobile, Alabama. General information about the event may be viewed in the entry form or found below.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION. Shuttle service will be available from the Mobile Regional Airport to the Holiday Inn, 301 Government Street, or other downtown hotels, beginning Thursday, December 10 through Monday, December 14. The discounted rate for this transportation is $13 one way and $20 round trip but must be reserved in advance.

Upon reserving your space, you will be given instructions to report to the Airport Shuttle desk upon your arrival at the Mobile Airport, where you will purchase your ticket that has been reserved in advance. If you plan to use the shuttle service round trip, you must purchase a round trip ticket at the desk upon your arrival in order to get the $20 rate.

To take advantage of this discounted rate, you must call or e-mail in advance to reserve space, providing the following information:

1) Date and time of flight arrival
2) Departure date and time for return flight
3) Hotel from which you will be departing or Civic Center, if leaving directly from there

The regular rate for this service is $18 one way, $35 round trip. Taxi from the airport to the hotel will run $38-$40 one way.

TICKETS. Official participants in the competition will receive ID badges that will permit them to view the competition and to attend their official activities. All official participants, including coaches and referees, must be current members of USA Weightlifting. There is no admission fee for anyone presenting their current USA Weightlifting membership card.

Friends, families and spectators can purchase tickets at the door.
