Committees to be Elected by USAW Membership (Postmark deadline May 22, 2009)

On May 29, 2009, USA Weightlifting will announce four qualified coaches to serve on the Coaching, Education and Program Committee and four individuals to serve on the Competition Committee. 

Each eligible voting member of USA Weightlifting will be mailed a ballot by May 8th.  To be eligible to vote in this election, an individual must:
1) be at least eighteen (18) years of age and be a current member of USAW at the time of voting.
2) The voter must have also been a fully paid, registered member of USAW no later than sixty (60) days prior to the date of the election.  For purposes of this election, members with fully paid dues as of March 24, 2009 will be eligible to vote.

The postmark deadline for return of the ballot is Friday, May 22, 2009.  Results of the election will be announced on May 29, 2009. Even if a ballot was postmarked correctly on or before May 22, 2009, votes received after May 29, 2009 will not be counted.

An Athlete Rep for each of the committees will be chosen by the athletes at their annual meeting in Chicago during the National Championships.  Information for each of the candidates listed below may be viewed by clicking on the individual's name.   Detailed information on these committees may be found in Sections 8.16 & 8.17 of the USAW Bylaws. Voting eligibility is described in section 5.2 of the Bylaws.
