Important Considerations for Interested Athletes and Officials:
- This is currently a USAW unfunded event with regard to travel, accreditation/entry fees, and incidental costs per the following from the organizers. Interested US athletes or officials must provide written confirmation that they self-fund these costs should funding not be identified by USAW to cover them, as detailed below by the organizers:
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
Invited participants will be accommodated in twin rooms. Full board (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) will be provided by the Organising Committee.
National Federations will be responsible for all incidental costs that are incurred.
Note
Additional rooms (with full board) maybe available at the Ramada Hotel:
Single Room £120.00
Twin Room £80.00 (per person)
ACCREDITATION / ENTRY FEES
An entry fee of GBP £60 per person must be paid by National Federation/s for all participating team officials. There is no entry fee for participating athletes.
TRANSPORTATION
National Federations are responsible for their own travel to the United Kingdom. The Organising Committee will provide internal transportation to/from the following airports:
- London Heathrow
- London City
- USAW has requested clarification from the organizers whether an Expression of Interest constitutes a firm commitment on the part of USAW that US athletes or officials submitted by USAW as interested will definitely appear and compete if they are selected. USAW has yet to received this clarification. Should the organizers do not so indicate by Thursday, August 25, only those athletes or officials confirming in writing that they are willing to self-fund their travel and other related costs as noted above will be submitted by USAW as interested.
- This is currently not a designated Olympic Selection Event. Interested US athletes must provide written confirmation that they understand their results at this competition will not be considered in Olympic selection unless this event becomes a designated Olympic Selection Event. Note that this event will be held one week after the American Open Championships, currently an Olympic Selection Event.
