Changes to 2010 Pan Am Championships Qualification

USA Weightlifting has announced that there will no longer be a Special Pan American Championships Qualifying Event in conjunction with the 2010 National Junior Championships, Feb. 26-28 in Rochester, Minn.
The Arnold Championships, which is open to all athletes and is being held from March 5-7 in Columbus, Ohio, and the National Junior Championships (for junior athletes) will be primary co-qualifiers for the 2010 Pan Am Championships, May 20-23 in Guatemala.
Athletes with a total from either the 2009 American Open or the 2009 World Championships that want to let their total stand for the Pan Am ranking and are enrolled in the U.S. Anti-Doping Out of Competition testing pool during the 1st Quarter of 2010 are not required to lift or be present at one of the primary qualifiers.
In case of ties within the two secondary qualifiers, precedence will be given to the total that was posted at the first of the two secondary qualifiers. In case of ties within the two primary qualifiers, precedence will be given to the total that was posted first of the two primary qualifiers. Otherwise, the two primary qualifiers will have precedence over the two secondary qualifiers.
