USA Weightlifting has announced that there will no longer be a Special PA Qualifying Event in conjunction with the 2010 National Junior Championships.

The Arnold Championships (for all athletes) and the National Junior Championships (for junior athletes) will be primary co-qualifiers for the 2010 Pan Am Championships. Athletes with a total from the American Open or World Championships that want to let their total stand for the Pan Am ranking, and are enrolled in the USADA OOC testing pool in the 1^st quarter 2010, are not required to lift or be present at one of the primary qualifiers.  In the case of ties within the two secondary qualifiers, precedence will be given to the total that was posted first of the two secondary qualifiers.  In case of ties within the two primary qualifiers, precedence will be given to the total that was posted first of the two primary qualifiers.  Otherwise, the two primary qualifiers will have precedence over the two secondary qualifiers.
