Olympian Kendrick Farris Asks "Where is the Life?"

When I was approached by the CEO of the great sport of Weightlifting about writing a blog. Mr Adams said I have the freedom to write about whatever I like. So let me start off by saying thanks Rick I won't let you down! (LOL) My first thoughts about writing a blog were "what should I write about?" and "who cares?" There are so many things  on my mind at the moment but let's talk about the most important shall we? Where is the life?!

There was the late great Corey Wilkes who brought so much excitement to the sport, he made me want to compete!! In our sport today there seems to be a lack of emotion and excitement from our lifters.

Am I saying USA lifters aren't passionate about the sport of course not but I am saying there is a lack of showmanship besides lifters like Derrick"4D"Johnson and Hilary Katzenmeier. 

I find myself not paying very much attention while the competiton is going on and counting down the time until it's over. I know after people read this some will pose the question well what are you going to do to bring more excitement to the sport Mr.Farris?! Well to answer you question with a question, will you watching the Pan Am Championship Qualifier?!!
