Aaron Adams Competes as First U.S. Team Member at the World Championships

Team USA in Goyang, Korea.
(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - Aaron Adams (Shreveport, La.) was the first member of the U.S. Team USA's to compete at the World Championships on Friday in Goyang, Korea.
Competing as a first-time World Team member in the 62kg division, Adams' lifts were as follows with each attempt noted as well as the total:
Snatch
104kg, 107kg, 109kg
Clean & Jerk
140kg, 143kg, 143kg
Total: 247kg
Adams competed in the division's C Group. The athletes in the A & B Groups will compete on Saturday when the final placings will be announced.
The World Championships will continue on Saturday when Stacy Suyama (Torrance, Calif.) and Kelly Rexroad (Atlanta, Ga.) will compete in the 48kg division.
