Membership and Recertification Fees

School Age Athlete(17 & under)	$25 - Age must be 17 or under on 12/31/2013
Junior Athlete (18-20)	$35 - Age must be between 18 & 20 on 12/31/2013
Senior Athlete (21 & up)	$40 - Age must be over 21 on 12/31/2013
Master Athlete (35 & up)	$45 - Age must be over 35 on 12/31/2013
Master Athlete / Certified Coach	$80
Level One Sport Performance Coach	$75
Level One Weightlfting Coach	$75
Sport Performance Coach	$75
Dual Certified Coach	$100
Level 2 - Level 5 Coach	$40

NOTE: Coaches may only renew for one or two years at a time.

NOTE: In the event of membership cancellation, USAW does not refund membership or recertification fees.

Criminal Record Screening Program/Background Check - Effective July 5, 2010, all USAW members with the following participation designations, currently described as membership categories, will be required to comply with a comprehensive criminal record screening program upon renewal of membership: Level 1 Weightlifting Coach (Club Coach), Coaching Levels 2-5, Dual-Certified Coach, Non-Certified Coach, Official, Referee, Volunteer and Medical. Screening will be required every two years.

Insurance

Membership in USAW provides training and competition opportunities and Sport Accident & General Liability Insurance. To receive these benefits, membership must be current and renewed annually.

Certified USAW coaches are covered under USAW's General Liability Insurance. To receive this benefit, a USAW certified coach must annually renew membership, recertify his or her coaching certificate and pay the renewal/recertification fee.

Have a Suggestion or Comment? The Board has requested that all suggestions, and complaints that have not been resolved by the National Office staff, be sent to a group e-mail address that all of the Board members have access to, which is usawsuggestions@hotmail.com. In this way, the Board, as a group, can consider these issues. If you have a matter that pertains only to a particular Board member, please contact them individually.
