When did you begin weightlifting?  January 2008

How did you get involved?  Rich McClure was my throws coach at San Jacinto High School and he had me use the Olympic lifts as a way to improve my throwing. Rich had me compete in a couple of local meets in ‘04/’05, and I fell in love with it. In 2008 I met Joe Micela, got restarted in weightlifting and stopped throwing. 

 

Goals:  Life: Become a coach, and get married and have kids.

Weightlifting: Make the 2012 and 2016 Olympic teams, be the best lifter I can be, help guide and inspire future athletes.

 

Favorite Competition Lift: Clean and Jerk!!!
